Koi nobori, flying carps

Did you have a chan to take a walk in the Hija River area? It’s amazing, few times in a year it attracts the attention of all Okinawans - now it is one of those times.

Carps that are hang for the children, with hope and prayers that they grow healthy and strong, like the carp fish jumping up the river.

The weather wasn’t great lately but in spite of that, they looked majestic when I walked there last Saturday. From Sunday we are having a Koi Nobori Festival so some roads are closed, be careful when planning an outing this weekend!
